Males VS. Females
The Age Old debate!!

Let's look at male dogs

GENERALLY SPEAKING:

  * Male dogs tend to be "lovable slobs" and "good ol' boys."

  * Male dogs tend to be more outgoing and more vigorously
affectionate."

  * Male dogs tend to be more stable and less prone to mood swings.

  * Male dogs tend to be clumsy and silly and prone to acting like big
kids.

  * Male dogs mean well and are easy to love and return love easily.

Let's look at female dogs

GENERALLY SPEAKING...

  * Female dogs tend to be more subtle than males. They're
affectionate on their own terms. They will want to be petted, then
reassert their independence by walking away when they've had
enough.

  * Female dogs tend to be quicker to learn and are more focused
during training sessions.

  * Female dogs are less likely to be openly defiant or to engage in
power struggles or dominance challenges -- yet they can be clever,
passively resistant, and manipulative about getting their own way.

  * Female dogs are prone to mood swings and emotional theatrics.
They can be sweet one day (or one hour!) and grumpy the next.

  * Female dogs are experts at The Dirty Look and The Sulk.

So Which is Better? A boy or girl puppy...

Although many people like the females simply because that is all
they have ever owned, males make just as good or better pets.
They are not as independent as a female, nor do they have the
moods that the females seem to go through.
.

Should I have my male puppy neutered?

Having a male is neutered at about 4 to 5 months of age greatly
reduces the negative tendencies that many people are afraid of
encountering . We have many happy owners of male puppies that
have never had any problems with them in this way.
They make wonderful family pets and companions. Neutering your
puppy will protect his health, help him to live longer and be a better
pet, along with improving his house manners.

Neutered males rarely exhibit secondary sexual behavior such as
'humping', or 'marking' and lifting of legs. Once the testosterone
levels recede after neutering, most of these behaviors (if they ever
existed) will disappear. Boys who were neutered early (by 5 months
of age) usually don't ever raise their leg to urinate.
Males generally cost 1/2 the price to have neutered as a female
does to be spayed.

On a personal note...

Before we started breeding, we always had males as pets. They
have always been loving and affection, fun and energetic.
My point of this whole page isn't to tell you that you need a boy not a
girl....I just don't want to see anyone rule out a complete gender. Or
worse yet, miss picking the perfect pet for your family because of
mis-information.
Look at the whole package: conformation, form, personality, looks,
etc... not just the gender!!
